Spend the morning cultivating skills to fully utilize your senses in your time outdoors. You will focus on learning to see more through all your senses. Learn to connect with your local landscape and be surprised by what is always available to us and often lies just beyond our view.
Instructed by Luke Bauer. Luke is a basket maker, forager, woods-wanderer, and permaculturist interested in connecting people with their landscape. He has been engaged in learning all that he can from his landscape for the past decade. He leads workshops on basketmaking, plant identification, primitive skills and wilderness awareness.
We are working hard to compile an assortment of local activities as they are deemed safe. You can also explore online and virtual experiences that you and your family can enjoy safely during your stay with us. With rules and regulations changing regularly, we invite you to visit Virginia.gov for current updates.
In addition to events listed on the calendar, we also recommend checking out these great virtual tours and experiences!
